Computer conferencing is the discussion or interaction on internet. Any sort such interaction may be termed as conferencing, if there is information exchange. It can not be call as conferencing, in the case where there is one way communication. For a complete conferencing there must be two way communications.
Computer conferencing is same as the web conferencing. It works through Voice over Internet Protocol. Here audio-video data are converted into packets and transformed to the receiver. Receiver receives it as its original form.
Computer conferencing is used for various purposes. It is used for business, science (medical transcription), education (distance learning) and even for personal chatting.
Computer conferencing dose not provide the real-time quality. For it broad bandwidth internet is required.
