Hard drive consists of Disk Platter, Spindle shaft, Spindle motor, Electromagnetic read/write heads Access arms, Actuator, and Preamplifier circuitry. Data is not stored in all the parts of the hard drive.
Disk Platter
The data is stored in the disk platters actually, while all others are parts of the hard drive for helping in data processing. When any part of the drive is damaged, and due to that the data is not accessed then the process to recovery to data is called drive recovery.
