While looking for a laptop check for its resolution, screen, size and definition.
Speed
Laptops are slower as compared to stationary computers which have the same features. If speed is important then one should check out details such as motherboards, CPUs, video systems and hard drives. These all cause speed loss.
Memory
One should check for the memory as it is quite important and go for 256MB RAM atleast as it can efficiently run Windows Me, Windows 95, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
Cost
Laptops costs twice that of desktops and one could purchase two desktops for the price of one.
Upgradation
It can be costly to go for upgrades therefore go for a good laptop.
Batteries
Lithium batteries are better as compared to others.
Hardware
Laptops should have MPEG-2 compression provided by software which is slow or by hardware which is fast. Hardware MPEG-2 is quite desirable and it provides a smoother playback.
Hard Drives
You should go for a minimum of 20GB space. If getting more opt for it.
Finally choose the one which is best and suits you well.
