These are shared during formal introductions as a convenience and a memory aid. A business card includes the giver’s name, company affiliation and contact information such as telephone number, street addresses or e-mail addresses. A professional card generally includes one or more aspects of striking visual design.
These are used during sales calls in order to provide potential customers with a means to contact the business or representative of the business.
These are normally printed on a 4 color press and ordered as one of the following:
4/4 - Full Color Front / Full Color Back
4/1 - Full Color Front / Black & White Back
4/0 - Full Color Front / No Back
These cards have a UV coating which makes them appear shinier than normal. As it is not possible to write on UV, it is generally discarded on sides that might require it. These cards are normally given bleeds. It ensures that the paper would cut without white edges due to paper shifting. Paper shifting occurs on a press from time to time. This results in a nasty white line going down one of the sides. Bleeds are generally an extra 1/8 to 1/4 in to all sides of the card.
