Some commercial firms and many programmers have developed some products and program that claims to block and root out the nasty spyware that hijacks the data or the confidential information from your computer.Anti-Spyware are the program that protects or defends your computer system data from being hijacked against pop-ups slow performance, and security threats resulted by Spyware and other unwanted software.
Programs like Ad-Aware SE and Spybot-Search &Destroy have recently obtained popularity in respect of effective equipment to block and remove. Spyware programs are intercepted. Recenltly GIANT Anti-Spyware has been acquired by Microsoft as Windows AntiSpyware beta for the users of Windows 2003, Windows 2000, and Window XP.
While the beta software to Windows Defender renamed in early spring, 2006 as Windows Defender, and beta 1 is going to expire in July 2006, and beta 2 in December, 2006.It has also been announced by the Microsoft that the products are going to be launched for free with Window Vista. There are other well-known products comprising ParetoLogic's XoftSpy, PC Tools'Spyware Doctor, Webroot Spy Sweeper and Sunbelt's CounterSpy.
Earlier the major anti-virus firms like Sophos, McAfee and Symantec firms were afraid of adding anti-spyware features to their product, but later on they came to table and shipped their anti-virus products such as Real-Time Protection which prevents the installation of the spyware, though they are treated differently from viruses.
The previous version of the anti-spyware programs concentrated mainly on detecting and removing. Like the Spyware Blaster of Javacool Software, which is the first version that provides real-time protection, protected the spyware programs and the installation of Active X-based.While, today other programs like Windows AntiSpyware and Ad-Aware are combined with two approaches, and Spyware Blaster remains fixed on real-time protection.
