When the Computer and Internet users are encountered with the free downloading of the anti-spyware programs, there are many software that persuade and incite them to install the anti-virus and anti-spyware software to the users. Whereas on the other hand, there are some of the free anti-spyware that poses as a spyware-removal tool but in actual they persuade or incite the users to download Trojans and spyware programs. It is caused by the malicious programmers who releases many of the fake anti-spyware programs and distribute them widely and warns the users of Internet and Computer that 'their computers are infected with spyware, buy the removal programs.' But instead of removing the spyware, they add their own spyware and corrupt the computer.
These spoofed or fake antivirus and anti-spyware products are posing a serious threat today. They often bill themselves as antivirus, antispyware, registry cleaners and sometimes feature popups persuading to install them. Some of the known offender include:PSGuard, Spykware Stormer, PAL Spyware Remover, SpyWiper, SpyBan, Spy Sheriff, SpyTrooper, WinFixer, WorldAntiSpy, SpyFalcon, SpywareStrike, AntiVirus Gold, and SpyAxe.
If anyhow a spyware program is not given timely check and blockage and is able to have itself installed, it becomes impossible to uninstall and terminate it. Once they are clicked, the intercept the computer and destroy the confidential data of your computer. Some of the programs work in pairs and groups so that they keep their invasion constant and continue, just as when a user or scanner eliminates one running process, the other one spawns the killed data again. Thus, if the corrupted or infected computer is booted in safe mode, and is given the timely check, an anti-spyware program is allowed to provide a better chance to eliminate or terminate persistent spyware.
